Another Tragic Year With ...

In September 2005, The Black Maria Memorial Fund released its first full length record, Another Tragic Year With ... The Black Maria Memorial Fund.
The Marquis Floored Genius, a notable patron of The Fund, had the following words for the occasion:
"It is a tender, almost fragile record, almost entirely recorded on acoustic guitar, often with ethereal double-tracked vocals that add an air of the unworldly.
"And yet, the tales told by the lyrics are ones of base human emotion, love, longing, loss and undelivered mail-order brides.
"The sweetness of the tunes and guitar work is married with an increasingly twisted and dark voice which belies the melody that carries it.
"That is the voice of The Black Maria Memorial Fund, shaking its tin on a cold crisp morning as an ambulance speeds past, playing our song."
Although the record, complete with unique artwork for every CD, is no longer available physically, it is still available for download.
